The fifth edition of the pottery event, "Vessel and Life Market," will be held at Aichi Kenko no Mori Park (Obu City, Aichi Prefecture) from June 1 (Saturday) to June 2 (Sunday), 2024, with the aim of introducing the appeal of ceramics (pottery) from the three Tokai prefectures to a wider audience and creating opportunities for people to experience and use them more in their daily lives than before. The fifth "Living Market" will be held at Aichi Health Forest Park (Obu City, Aichi Prefecture) from June 1 (Sat) to June 2 (Sun), 2024.

Purpose
There are many pottery and porcelain production areas throughout Japan, including the "Six Old Kilns of Japan" (Echizen, Seto, Tokoname, Shigaraki, Tanba, and Bizen), which have been produced from the Middle Ages to the present. Among them, the three Tokai prefectures (Aichi, Gifu, and Mie) not only have Seto and Tokoname, the "Six Old Kilns of Japan," but are also known as one of the leading ceramic production areas in Japan due to the abundance of high-quality clay, which produces a variety of ceramics.
The first exhibition was held in June 2022, with the hope that more people would become aware of the appeal of ceramics and porcelain from the three Tokai prefectures, and that more people would have the opportunity to touch and use them in their daily lives.
The market has been well received so far, and we are pleased to announce that we will be holding the fifth event ("Vessel and Lifestyle Market vol. 5" and "Coffee and Baked Cake Market" at the same time).
What is the "Vessel and Lifestyle Market"?
The Tokai area, where we live, is famous for Tokoname-yaki, Seto-yaki, Mino-yaki, and many other types of pottery. At the "Vessel and Lifestyle Market," we have gathered together a variety of wonderful dishes, from simple plates that give a sense of warmth to works by artists whose individuality shines through, that will add color to your dining table and enrich your heart.
In addition, tools, plants, and food trucks will be on display to guide visitors to a more careful lifestyle.
