VOLVO Meeting 2024 in Sodegaura," one of the largest Volvo meetings in Japan, will be held on August 25, 2024, hosted by "Sentaro" (President of CONTRASTFREE inc.), who has driven five Volvos as a car-loving comedian, and "Furuya" who leads the ELK Kanto, the largest Volvo owner group in Japan on the automobile SNS "Minkara". The event will be held at Sodegaura Forest Raceway (Sodegaura City, Chiba Prefecture) on August 25, 2024.

Background of "VOLVO Meeting 2024

VOLVO, a Swedish automobile manufacturer with a focus on safety, has a strong fan base in Japan, and many VOLVO users have a strong love for automobiles, with meetings of various sizes being held throughout the country.

However, offline meetings with more than 100 cars have never been held, leaving Sentaro and Furuya to wonder, "Why are there no large-scale meetings when there are so many owners who love their Volvos so much?" Sentaro and Furuya have always wondered why there are so many Volvo owners who love their Volvos, but no large-scale meetings are held.

Volvo has a strong reputation as "the safest car in the world," but as a "sports luxury manufacturer," there was no large-scale meeting where people could fully enjoy the performance of Volvo.

We held numerous discussions to see if we could create an event that combined the "love of cars" and "sports mindedness" of Volvo users, and negotiated with circuits and event plazas across the country. The first "VOLVO Meeting 2023" was successfully held on October 15, 2023, with the cooperation of Mr. Junichi Yamanashi, manager of Sodegaura Forest Raceway. Although it was the first time to hold this event, the number of participants met the target of 100, and many old and new Volvo users, tuning stores, and dealers attended the event.

We have received feedback from visitors that they enjoyed the event, that they would like it to be held again, and that they would like it to be held on a larger scale, so we have decided to hold the second "VOLVO Meeting 2024 in Sodegaura".

■About "VOLVO Meeting 2024 in Sodegaura

Thanks to the cooperation of Sodegaura Forest Raceway, this year's event will be larger in scale than the previous one, with 150 to 200 cars expected to attend. The main contents of the event are as follows

Meeting time (the largest Volvo offline meeting in Japan)

Parade run (parade of all participating cars on the circuit course)

Test drive experience (test drive on the circuit in tuning cars made by Volvo stores nationwide)

Circuit sports driving (Helmet wearing, full throttle driving in the owner's car)

Circuit experience driving with a guide (Experience the course on a circuit that is faster and safer than on the street)

Dress-up contest (awards for prizes for the owner's car)

Big lottery with gorgeous prizes (for reference, the first drawing was for a brand-new wheel, aero kit, etc.)

Store booths (tuning stores, authorized dealers, wrapping stores, coating stores, etc.)

We are currently working on the details of the private contents and guests are scheduled to participate, which will be posted on our website and official line as needed.

Although the event is large in scale, last year we had a wide range of participants, including owners in their early 20s, female owners who participated alone, and veteran owners who have been driving their Volvo for many years. Anyone who "loves VOLVO" can participate in this event filled with love for VOLVO.
