Kibitsu-jinja Shrine National Treasure 600th Anniversary of the Rebuilding of the Main Shrine and Worship Hall +1 Special Evening Party Held

Kibitsu Shrine (Kita-ku, Okayama City) will hold a special evening event on Saturday, April 25 to mark the beginning of the "600th Anniversary of the Reconstruction of the National Treasure Main Shrine and Worship Hall +1". The precincts of the temple will be opened to the public during the night, when it is normally closed to the public, for a special one-night-only experience of "talk x recitation x music" with the National Treasure architecture in the background.

Program and Performer Profile

Actor Momoko Kikuchi has been newly confirmed to perform in the reading play, adding even more color to the night at Kibitsu Shrine, where history and stories overlap. On the day, visualist and film director Makoto Tezuka, comedian/author Naoki Matayoshi, and Kibitsu Shrine chief priest Takayuki Fujii will appear for a night-only public session under the theme "Passionate Talk at Kibitsu Shrine at Night.

In addition, actor Tokuma Nishioka (special appearance), actor Yuya Takagawa, and Momoko Kikuchi will present an original reading of the play "The Kibitsu Kettle," followed by a musical performance by Yusuke Yabui, a cutting-edge electronic instrumentalist, and other programs to thrill all five senses. This is the only night you will be able to experience "a story that lights up the night of a national treasure. The performers and staff are ready, rehearsals and preparations for the grounds are in the final stages, and the venue is already enveloped in a special atmosphere.
