The Largest Exhibition and Sale of Swords in Western Japan "Osaka Spring Battle: Katanza 2026 Held again this year! Opening on March 28 at Osaka Castle Hall Jomi Hall

The Touza Executive Committee will hold "Osaka Spring Festival Touza 2026" (supported by Sankei Shimbun), the largest exhibition and sales fair of swords and sword accessories in Western Japan, on March 28 (Sat.) and 29 (Sun.), 2026, at Osaka Castle Hall Jomi Hall, where 45 sword dealers from all over Japan will gather at the foot of Osaka Castle.

The event aims to raise awareness and educate the public about the excellence of Japanese swords.

Most people think that special permission is required to own or purchase a Japanese sword, but any adult can purchase a sword with an official registration certificate (ID required). We are pleased to hold the 4th annual "Sword Show" in order to promote and educate the public about the excellence of Japanese swords.

About "Osaka Spring Sword Show 2026

The "Osaka Harujin Katanza 2026" will be held in Osaka Castle, where 45 sword dealers from all over Japan will gather to display and sell their wares in the cherry blossoms' full bloom.

The event will feature swords, sword accessories, and samurai armors from various parts of the country, with a wide range of items on display and for sale, from the best priced to the most exquisite.

Last year's event was a great success with many visitors on both days.

Demonstration by Japanese sword craftsmen

On the day of the event, there will be demonstrations by professional Japanese sword craftsmen such as sharpeners and swordsmiths.

Please come and see the actual work of these craftsmen, which you would normally never be able to see.

(Demonstrations will be held irregularly during the exhibition period.)

We will buy your swords for cash at the venue on the day of the exhibition.

If you bring swords (with registration certificate) from your home to the venue on the day of the exhibition, we will assess them and purchase them at a high price. If you purchase a sword on the day of the event, the admission fee of 1,000 yen will be refunded. (For one owner only).
