The 5th Terakoya Pack in Hamamatsucho
Background of the event - Human resource shortage in the industry and the need for a place to learn
The sign and display industry has been facing a shortage of human resources and the need to pass on skills in recent years. The field has pointed out issues such as "young people are not being nurtured" and "new ideas are not being born easily. In response to this situation, PACK CORPORATION has decided to hold "Terakoya PACK" for the first time in two years, based on its desire to "provide a place where many people can learn. This event aims to be not only a product exhibition, but also a place where each manufacturer and its customers can directly interact with each other and enhance their ability to make proposals and come up with ideas.
The event is also expected to provide an opportunity for young and mid-career employees to gain knowledge and ideas that they can use in the field by taking advantage of the Group's wide range of items and expertise in space production, creating opportunities for participants to actually touch the materials and products and get a concrete image of what they can expect to see after the event is set up.
Highlights and Features - "Hands-on" Materials Zone and Largest-Ever Exhibit
The Terakoya Pack in Hamamatsucho will be one of the largest ever, with approximately 50 manufacturers exhibiting, including more than 10 new exhibitors. Taking advantage of the business network of more than 200 companies that has been built up over the years, the latest trends in the industry and a diverse range of materials will be gathered under one roof.
Of particular note is the "MATERIALS JAM LIGHT × FABRIC" zone developed by Kinugawa Corporation, a group company. In this zone, a material experience area where light and fabric intersect will be set up, with actual exhibits of illumination, string curtains, flame-retardant organdie, decorative crystals, artificial turf, and more. Visitors will be able to experience the visibility, transparency, reflection, and texture of the materials after they are set up.
Another feature of this exhibit is that visitors can get hints on how to use and combine materials. For example, visitors can actually confirm that combining illumination with translucent fabrics can expand the range of spatial presentation. This kind of experience provides a sense of site that cannot be obtained from catalogs or the Web.
Various seminars will also be held simultaneously at the venue, providing an opportunity for young employees and designers to learn the latest material information and construction know-how.
