Key visual for the 55th anniversary of the opening of all lines
Concept of the 55th anniversary of the opening of all lines
On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the opening of all lines, we would like to convey our gratitude to nature and our desire to carry on the traditions of the past, and to encourage our customers to come back again through a variety of contents that will provide "new excitement at any time".
The key visuals are designed to convey the gratitude for the Alpine Route and the desire to carry on the legacy of nature that has remained unchanged.
The design of the key visual, based on the motif of the "Tateyama Mountain Range over Mikurigaike Pond," one of the symbolic views of the Alpine Route, expresses the changing of the seasons and the "moving stories" that have been spun over generations. The design depicts the charm of the Alpine Route, which shows different expressions in each season: early summer, when the beautiful "Mikurigaike Blue" created by melting snow shines brightly; summer, when the mountains are covered in deep green; and autumn, when the mountains turn vivid colors.
Also symbolically depicted are a solitary figure facing nature, a parent and child sharing their emotions, and two people, one with an older life, quietly gazing at the scenery. This nature, which has been protected since its opening, overlaps with the timeline of each person's life, and continues to deliver a variety of emotions to visitors.
The Alpine Route is a journey that will move you no matter what time of year you visit.
The Alpine Route is a place where visitors can encounter heart-stirring experiences no matter what time of year they visit. Beginning with the "snowy valley" in spring, followed by the freshness of early summer with melting snow and fresh greenery, and ending in summer with the magnificent scenery known as the "Switzerland of Japan," the Alpine Route welcomes visitors with different expressions in each of the four seasons, allowing them to encounter new charms each time they visit. Each season has a different look, and each time you visit, you will encounter new attractions.
