Pioneering the Future of Japanese Essential Oils: "Bringing the Scents of Japan to the World" Project Launches Research Society of Japanese Essential Oils to Exhibit at "AAC-AAIC 2026 KOREA"
— Delivering the Passion of Production Areas and Japanese Scents to the World —
The Research Society of Fragrance Japan(PR:Botanique Co., Ltd.)
The Research Society of Japanese Essential Oils (RS-JEO) (Location: Suginami-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Tamaki Saito; PR Director: Chieko Takei, CEO of Botanique Co., Ltd.) was established to revitalize Japanese essential oil production and promote it overseas. The Society will exhibit as a representative of Japan at the international conference "AAC-AAIC 2026 KOREA (Asia Aroma Conference / Asia Aroma Ingredient Congress & Expo)" held in Seoul, South Korea, from April 8 to 10, 2026.
This project aims to improve the recognition of Japanese essential oils and build a foundation for future overseas sales channels by having the Society handle international expansion, which often presents high hurdles for small-scale producers.

■ Background: Building "Trust" for Japanese Essential Oils on the International Stage

<A scene of raw material harvesting. The source of the fragrance is harvested using methods suited to each specific site.>
As global interest in natural ingredients grows, Japanese essential oils—extracted primarily from indigenous plants—are attracting attention for their rarity and delicate aromas. However, the domestic industry is currently characterized by many small-scale producers with limited opportunities for international recognition or objective evaluation.
"AAC-AAIC" is an international conference in the Asia-Oceania region where researchers and companies gather. By participating in this conference, the Research Society of Japanese Essential Oils will engage in discussions regarding safety, components, and quality to communicate the value of Japanese essential oils internationally.
■ Three Features of This Project
1. Building Reliability Through the Society’s Representation By exhibiting as RS-JEO, a research organization, rather than an individual company, the Society serves as a highly reliable point of contact for overseas buyers and researchers.
2. Balancing Market Research and Recognition The project will assess how Japanese essential oils are evaluated as industrial raw materials while simultaneously increasing awareness in overseas markets.
3. A Joint Exhibition Model Supporting Small-Scale Producers The Society will manage samples and handle inquiries on behalf of producers who find it difficult to travel abroad. This provides resource-limited businesses a first step into the global market and an opportunity to receive feedback from local stakeholders.

<Distilling with care, drop by drop, through continuous innovation and passion.>
