Petit Retreat in Nara," a new service that promotes relationship-building among employees, is an interactive program in which participants can relax and talk with their peers while reflecting on themselves in the extraordinary space of an old private house built in the Taisho era.

The setting is an old private house in Nara built in the Taisho era (1912-1926). It is the perfect place to hold a workshop in a quiet environment, where people can reflect on themselves and naturally engage in dialogue on topics that are difficult to discuss in the workplace. The program is attracting attention as a new internal communication measure outside of the company that deepens trust among employees and promotes psychological safety and increased engagement.

■Purpose and background of the service

While remote work has taken root and business operations have become more efficient, opportunities for small talk and heart-to-heart dialogue in the workplace have been decreasing. As a result, the dilution of ties among employees and a decline in engagement have become issues. In response, we developed this program with the aim of rebuilding trust among employees by providing them with time to talk openly with each other, utilizing Nara's nature, nostalgic atmosphere, and space surrounded by carefully selected tools.

■ Program Features

The advantage of holding a dialogue session in a place that is not a usual meeting room, an old private house, is that it allows you to turn off work mode.
