Komoro Tourism Bureau (President: Masaki Tomioka), in cooperation with the Komoro Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Komoro City Hall, has jointly developed the regional information portal application "Komomag." as a common digital infrastructure to support regional living and tourism.
This project is a tripartite collaboration of government, tourism, and commerce, with the participation of the Urban Renaissance Agency (UR Urban Renaissance Agency), Yapuri Corporation, which has a wealth of experience in mobile application development, and Wind. The development was carried out in cooperation with local tourism businesses and other private businesses, as well as citizen volunteers, from the perspective of "creating a platform that is easier for customers to use.

Komomag. will provide citizens with a one-stop shop for local information that they can use in their daily lives, as well as a system that allows tourists to access the latest sightseeing, transportation, and store information and route information they need during their stay, aiming to eliminate the digital information gap and improve convenience for the entire region.

About Komoro City, Nagano Prefecture
Komoro City, Nagano Prefecture, with a population of 41,068 (as of October 1, 2025), is located on the southern slope of majestic Mount Asama, with the Chikuma River flowing through the center of the city. The ruins of Komoro Castle, known as "Kaiko-en," are visited by many tourists throughout the seasons, including cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in fall. The castle is built on a valley carved by rain from the volcanic ash soil of Mount Asama, and is the only "hole castle" in Japan that is lower than the castle town. It is a "castle town on a highland full of poetic sentiment" that is also associated with the great writers Shimazaki Toson and Takahama Kyoshi. Komoro City is about 160 km from Tokyo, and is easily accessible in 2.5 hours by car or 1.5 hours by train. From Karuizawa, it takes 24 minutes by "Shinano Railway" and about 30 minutes by car.
