The Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs, Tokyo Metropolitan Government will hold a PR event for traditional crafts titled "KOUGEI LOVERS in AUTUMN" at KITTE Marunouchi from October 31 (Friday) to November 4 (Tuesday), 2025.
In addition to the exhibition, demonstration, hands-on production and sales of traditional Tokyo crafts, a "Disaster Area Support Fair" will be held to support the recovery from the Noto Peninsula Earthquake by exhibiting and selling traditional crafts from the affected areas. Please come and see the world-class Japanese traditional crafts. In addition, a record 1,282 entries were received from elementary school students in the "I wish I had such and such traditional crafts" design contest! and the "Tokyo Traditional Craftsmen's Exhibition New Design Contest" will also be exhibited and an award ceremony will be held.

Event Details
○Exhibition and sale of traditional Tokyo crafts
A variety of 23 crafts made by skilled artisans with their hearts and souls, including Edo faceted glass, Edo Mokumegome dolls, Tokyo cloisonne enamel ware, and Tokyo parasols, as well as the fruits of craftsmanship that add color to daily life from 49 exhibiting businesses, will be on display. Please take this opportunity to pick up and enjoy these products as gifts, rewards, or celebrations for Hare no Hi (happy occasions).

A total of 16 types of content will be available for visitors to try while learning from craftspeople, with the content of the experience changing daily. This is one of the few opportunities to learn from the artisans. Advance reservations are recommended, but same-day reservations are also available. Design Contest for "What I wish I had! Exhibition and Award Ceremony (Tokyo City Eye Performance Zone, B1F of KITTE, 1F Atrium)
A record 1,282 entries were received for this contest, which began accepting entries in June. All entries will be exhibited at the venue. An award ceremony will also be held for the winners of the Governor of Tokyo Award, Excellence Award, and Honorable Mention Award.

The Disaster Area Support Fair will be held to exhibit and sell traditional crafts from the areas affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake (Ishikawa, Toyama, and Niigata prefectures). Traditional crafts from 14 crafts and 24 exhibitors, including Wajima lacquerware, Kutani ware, Takaoka copperware, Takaoka lacquerware, Murakami wood carving Tsuishu, and Kamo paulownia chests, will be exhibited and sold.
