The octopus used in Nakayoshiya's takoyaki is a large octopus boiled on the beach by the fishermen of Maruha Hourai Suisan in Rausu, Hokkaido, who are proud of its "big and thick, but very soft.
For those who simply want to savor the taste of the octopus, we recommend the "specialty salted octopus dumpling" topped with "Lausip" salt made from Rausu's deep sea water. It is very smooth and silky to the palate.
For those who want their takoyaki always hot, we recommend the "Sauce Takoyaki" with plenty of homemade sauce. There are five other flavors, including cheese, spicy chili sauce, and Rausu cod roe mayo.

What is Takoyaki & Shrimp Nakayoshimori?
In order to offer new products loved by people of all ages, from children to the elderly, we focused on takoyaki, a Japanese national dish, and shrimps, which many people like. Nakayoshiya is a restaurant specializing in takoyaki and shrimp omelet.
The octopus is boiled on the beach using a method handed down from generation to generation by octopus fishermen in Rausu Town, Hokkaido, which gives the octopus a large, thick, yet soft texture. The tane is made from a unique blend of "sara-sara" flour from Hokkaido, which is combined with bonito broth to create a moist, light takoyaki with a smooth texture.
The most popular "Famous Salt Takoyaki" uses "Lausip," a salt made from Rausu deep sea water that has a smooth and silky taste, allowing you to taste the true quality of the octopus ingredients. The "Popular Tappuraa Cheese Takoyaki", which is covered with a generous amount of tappuraa (the highest quality cheese), is a popular menu item among women.

The best time to catch octopus in Rausu is from December to January. The octopus grown in the cold environment of Rausu is larger than octopus caught elsewhere. When catching octopus, we are very careful about the hook we use to catch the octopus. If the hook is bad, the octopus will not be caught. Therefore, the staff and I make the ropes by hand, looking at each needle one by one. If the heat and time are wrong, the octopus will become hard quickly, so we have to be careful to find the perfect balance. There are not many ways to eat octopus, but boiled octopus is delicious, and raw octopus is also delicious. I hope you enjoy the various textures of the head, legs, and mouth.
