Challenge-Breaking Survival Internship
About the "Problem-Busting Survival Internship
The internship is designed as a "survival type" internship with a three-stage system, where you must break through each challenge in order to advance to the next stage. Although the content is severe and dropouts are possible, the underlying concept of the internship is based on the strong belief of our representative that "challenges and setbacks are the nourishment for growth.
Most of the participating students are from difficult-to-enter universities, including the University of Tokyo, Keio University, and Osaka University. On some days, the program attracts nearly 70 applicants.
Participating students have given positive feedback with a satisfaction rate of 97.2%, saying, "I received deep feedback that I could not get in group discussions at other companies," and "I was able to realize my own issues, which made me want to grow even more.

Thoughts on Holding the Seminar: To be a catalyst for growth that does not end with a mere challenge
We want you to connect the precious time you spend job hunting with real growth.
This internship was planned with this in mind.
We carefully planned, designed, and managed the internship with the hope that this experience would be a turning point in the students' lives, rather than a mere recruitment activity. We are proud that the content of the assignments, the evaluation criteria, and the quality of the feedback are all designed because we truly wish for the growth of the students.
Inoue, who supervises the contents of the program, won the highest award in an internship program for 30,000 students when he was a student. In the process, he strongly felt that "essential growth requires awareness and the shock that accompanies it.
Based on this experience, he supervised this year's program, which employs a "selection-based survival style" in which some students may drop out of the program. Although the stages are tough, it is also a message that "we want to provide opportunities to challenge challenging tasks and to grow through these challenges.
By the way, dropping out does not mean that you have failed our selection process.
We believe that the potential for growth during your student years is immeasurable, and that the "insights" gained through challenges will be the driving force for your next stage of growth.
Work in progress on the first day in Tokyo
Motivation for student participation: "A mechanism that makes them want to take on challenges" motivates them
There are three main motivations for student participation.
(1) "The content looks sharp and interesting" (2) "I don't know what I want to do" (3) "I don't know what I want to do"
(2) "I want to test my ability.
(3) "I want to learn what I am lacking and grow further.
The design of challenging assignments and practical feedback will meet these high expectations. Students have commented that the program is not a "one-way street" and that they "get a sense of growth on the spot.
Comments from participating students
"It was very good to work with excellent students and learn a lot from them, such as their thinking process and how to organize their opinions." Mr. K, University of Tokyo
"I was able to learn in a depth that I could not get from the feedback of other companies' group discussions, and I recognized room for improvement. Mr. T, Keio University
"I was particularly impressed by the representative's talk on careers." Mr. T, Ritsumeikan University
"It was very good to be able to do a lot of thinking, including individual and group work, which I had not experienced before, and to recognize what I was lacking and what I could grow into." Mr. S, Doshisha University
Hints to encourage growth are everywhere
■Feedbacker: First-class eyes bring out the potential in students
In this internship, elite members with experience in the BIG4 and major projects, including vice presidents, directors, executive officers, and current top consultants, will provide direct feedback.
The main feature of this internship is that it is not merely a place for selection, but also a place for dialogue that seriously encourages the growth of the participating students.
After the internship, a reception is held with the management team. This is another factor that contributes to the high satisfaction rate of our interns.

Program Structure: 3 Contents for Hands-on Business Experience
The internship program consists of the following three stages.
Internship Content Overview
Finalists who pass the final stage, which has a 21% final pass rate, will receive an informal offer pass and a cash prize.
Each stage tests students' ability to construct logical structures, develop ideas, and make proposals through practical group discussions and presentations.
Many of the participating students are from difficult-to-enter universities, and many have commented that the high level of discussion stimulated them and made them aware of perspectives that they lack now, thus promoting mutual growth among the students.
Comment from Masao Inoue, President and CEO
Looking back at yourself objectively, would you say that you are not immersed in "lukewarm, hypoallergenic water"?
A state of being so accustomed to lukewarm water that you are not even aware of it is called a "boiled frog. Can you assure me that this is not the case?
How much you can grow in your 20s will have a great impact on your later career. We believe that the start of that growth begins with a proper knowledge of your current abilities and situation.
This internship is a very frustrating experience when you drop out instead of having nothing to lose. This is because your ability is really tested to the point where there is no excuse.
What you get if you make it through is the confidence that you made it through with accurate feedback and an informal offer pass. This will be a solid original experience for the rest of your life.
In the extreme, I would like to give this experience to all outstanding college students who are job hunting.
Whether or not they join our company is up to them, but even if they do not join us, we want them to realize their own mission and use it as an opportunity for personal growth. We are seriously designing the curriculum with this in mind. We will continue to brush up our plans to make this experience even stronger and more effective, so that it will reach as many talented people as possible in the future.
We are looking forward to seeing college students who wish to grow and take on this challenge.
