Two models in the ELECARGO series

Japan's first full-scale cargo and canopy models with specified small four-wheeled vehicles

ELECARGO and SUPER ELECARGO are Japan's first full-scale cargo models in the specified compact category, which does not require a license to operate on public roads, and are equipped with a 20-liter front basket and 100-liter rear basket for large-capacity loading capacity.

It meets a wide range of needs from personal to commercial use, including daily use for shopping and errands, active and leisure activities, sightseeing, deliveries, patrols, and transportation within warehouses.

The front windshield and roofed canopy-type super-elecago are useful for sheltering from wind and rain.

Until now, it has been practically difficult to install a senior car without a license due to height restrictions (less than 120 cm), but this is the first license-free model in Japan to implement a canopy.

■No driver's license required; helmets can be driven with effort required

If you are 16 years old or older, you can drive on public roads without a driver's license. Helmets must be worn on an effort basis.

The vehicle can be driven on roadways and sidewalks as a specified small-sized vehicle and a special specified small-sized vehicle category. The vehicle can travel at a maximum speed of 20 km/h in roadway mode and 6 km/h in sidewalk mode, the maximum speed for each category. The mode can be changed according to the use to which the vehicle is put.

■Longest cruising range and power of any specific compact four-wheel model

The battery has a large capacity of 30 Ah and can travel approximately 60 km to 70 km on a single charge, the longest range of any specific small four-wheel model. For everyday use, there is no need to recharge the battery (100V household recharge) every day.

Driving performance is greatly enhanced by acceleration torque optimized for a maximum speed range of 20 km/h, and it has the power to climb gradients of around 15% to 20%. The motor specification is 600W (rear wheels 300W x 2 wheels), which is the specified small upper limit value, for a powerful driving performance.

■Specifications for riding without "straddling" the seat

While the ELEMOs4 series of the same specified small four-wheeled vehicles at ELEMOs LLC are designed to "straddle" the seat, the ELECARGO series is designed to be easy for anyone to ride without "straddling" the seat. The lineup includes the stylish ELEMOs4 series and the convenient and modern ELECARGO series.

■Disadvantages of the ELECARGO series

The ELEMOs4 series is a four-wheeled vehicle with a sense of stability that is unique to four-wheeled vehicles, but it is inferior in terms of mobility and has the disadvantage that it cannot be folded and carried inside the vehicle.

It will also have little advantage for those who are unlikely to carry any luggage at all.

We do not recommend this model for those who wish to choose a kickboard or two wheels. A three-wheel model is currently under development.

■Safety and modern style

Two suspensions are installed, one at the front and one at the rear. This reduces impact from bumps and road noise, and is excellent for long-distance driving. It is equipped with mirrors, which are indispensable for traveling on public roads, an easy 5-second design from power on to start driving, a back-up function as well as forward function, and legal safety parts such as a front light, direction indicator, whistle, and tail light as standard equipment, so it can be driven on public roads in compliance with the Road Traffic Law.

The tires are 11 inches, the largest in its class. The tires are also designed with stability in mind rather than maneuverability, and quick movements are better suited to tires with smaller inch sizes, while straight traveling and gripping power increases with larger inch sizes due to the increased tire footprint. ELECARGO places more emphasis on "stability.

The backrest is standard equipment, and reduces body shake when driving by supporting the waist area without height. This not-too-high backrest and the mud-specification basket are design features that enhance the modernity of ELECARGO.
