California Club, a dance and yoga studio in Kokubunji City, will welcome world-renowned choreographer and producer Travis Payne for a special dance lesson on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

About 200 kids dancers from our studio will receive direct instruction from Travis Payne, who is also known as Michael Jackson's right-hand man. This will be a unique opportunity for children to learn from one of the world's greatest creators.

About Travis Payne

Born in Atlanta, USA, Travis Payne began dancing at the age of 7 and went on to Hollywood, where he began his professional career as a dancer in 1990, participating in Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation 1814 World Tour". He then met Michael Jackson in 1992 when he choreographed "Remember The Time," beginning a partnership that lasted almost 20 years.

Mr. Travis has choreographed and directed numerous projects for Michael Jackson (Dangerous World Tour, History World Tour, GHOSTS, They Don't Care About Us, Scream, etc.) and is a leader in the global entertainment scene. He choreographed and co-directed the "This Is It" tour, and also contributed to the worldwide success of the film "This Is It" as co-producer.

In addition to Michael Jackson, he has choreographed and directed such renowned artists as Beyonce, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Usher, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, Sting, Mick Jagger, Jennifer Lopez, and Shakira. He is also known in Japan as the co-founder of Travis Japan.

His award-winning career includes numerous MTV Video Music Awards, an Emmy nomination, and three Bob Fosse Choreography Awards. He continues to produce stage, video, and media productions around the world.

This special lesson will be an extremely rare opportunity for children attending the California Club to learn directly from the world's leading dancers.
