The date for a real seminar to be held in Kyushu by Wellness News Group (WNG) Inc. is approaching. Entitled "Functional Foods Strategy in 2025: From Response to the Revised System to New Product Development," the seminar will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 2 to 5 p.m. at a conference room in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City.

Highlights of the panel discussion

Kakino: The title of his recent lecture in Tokyo was "Functional basis to restore consumer confidence and avoid exposure to questionable information". The lecture was given at a food-related exhibition and attracted a large audience. On the day of the lecture, he will also discuss safety, which is a prerequisite for functional labeling.

Yamaryo: HMT is developing a health care solution business that makes full use of metabolome analysis, and will provide hints for product development while introducing the outline of its new service "Health Claims Prediction Package" and other services that are the topic of discussion.

Reporter Ishikawa: How does the revised Food with Functional Labeling System look to Kobayashi Pharmaceutical's reporter, who has been covering administrative actions since the "red yeast rice supplement" health hazard issue? The panelists will talk about the revised Foods with Functional Labeling System, keeping in mind "how the regulations on dietary supplements should be regulated," which was set as an "issue for further study" by the relevant ministerial meeting.
