■Aiming to improve the health of the elderly by maintaining oral health

Under the vision of "Healthy Japan 21 (the third phase)," which aims to "realize a sustainable society in which all people can live healthy and fulfilling lives," a national health promotion campaign is underway for 12 years from FY2024 to FY2035, aiming to improve the health of the Japanese people. In Japan's hyper-aged society, healthy and fulfilling lives for the elderly contribute not only to individual well-being, but also to the sustainability of society as a whole. One of the key elements in maintaining good health is oral care. Maintaining a healthy oral cavity can help prevent aspiration pneumonia, improve nutritional intake, and even reduce the risk of dementia.

■Strengthening medical and nursing care coordination and providing oral health-related expertise

Dental Support has a track record of more than 26 years in the visiting dental care support business, supporting approximately 35,000 people per month from Hokkaido to Kyushu, and providing services that fully utilize its accumulated know-how to people engaged in facilities and nursing care throughout Japan.

Through this business alliance with Well Future Holdings and its group companies Carenation Corporation, Well Future Corporation, and EMIKA Corporation, we intend to further strengthen the collaboration between medical and nursing care services. By clarifying objectives and issues as a common understanding, we will establish a support system that enables the elderly to live independently for a longer period of time.

Conducting oral care seminars for facility staff and residents

Providing practical oral care instruction to facility staff

Provide programs to improve oral functions (feeding and swallowing function training, guidance on preventing aspiration pneumonia, etc.)

Provide nutrition management and guidance initiatives in collaboration with facility staff.

Provision of initiatives to improve residents' health in collaboration with nursing and medical staff

Provide other health care services centered on oral health care initiatives.

Distribute a certificate of certification as an oral health care facility.

Dental Support has begun distributing "Oral Care Enhancement Facility Certificates" to nursing homes that actively educate staff and residents about oral care and proactively implement oral-related initiatives to promote health.
