The Asahikawa Beavers, an independent professional baseball league team based in Asahikawa, Hokkaido (operated by Beavers LLC), has launched a crowdfunding project on CAMPFIRE, "Asahikawa to a World-Class Baseball Team" with the aim of developing future professional baseball players.

The project has become a major topic of conversation, with many celebrities from the worlds of baseball, sports, and entertainment offering their support and comments.

The Bee Stars are also home to Dennis Kasumba, a young Ugandan baseball player who is followed on Instagram by global superstar Shohei Ohtani.

Project Background

In the Asahikawa region of Hokkaido, young people who continue to play baseball are forced to give up their dreams due to a declining population and challenges in the playing environment. The Asahikawa Beavers continue to support the future of children under the philosophy of "Rooted in the community, nurturing players who will go on to play in the world.

Project name: "From Asahikawa to a baseball team that can aim for the world

Target amount: 1,000,000 yen

Funds to be used for: player development, training facility maintenance, and community outreach activities

Period of support: April 26, 2025 - end of May (scheduled)
