Yamaman Corporation (Head office: 6-1 Nihonbashi-Koamicho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Tetsuo Shimada; hereinafter "Yamaman"), an urban development company engaged in the development of Eucalyptus Hill in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, has launched a new project to support child-rearing in April 2025, In April 2025, Yamaman launched a new project to support child-rearing, "Eucalyptus Hill, a town where children's smiles will abound.
Eucalyptus Hill is the place to put children first.
Child-rearing needs are becoming more diverse every year, requiring a variety of different types of support. With a view to the further development of the town, Eucalyptus Hill will implement "Eucalyptus Hill, Thinking of Children First" as a new child-rearing support project for children, who will be responsible for the next generation, and their parents.
Through this project, we will promote the creation of a town that is more livable for children and households raising children, and realize the happiness of a thousand people in a thousand different ways along with the development of the town.

■"Rice Planting Experience Program" to promote food education and local circulation
As the first step of the "Eucalyptus Hill when we think of children first," a rice planting experience program will be held on May 10, 2025, mainly for children in Eucalyptus Hill.
The rice planting experience is not just a farming experience, but from the perspective of "food education," it is an invaluable educational opportunity for children to learn the preciousness of nurturing life by touching the soil and actually planting rice seedlings, with the aim of having children experience the importance of rice farming and its connection with nature.

The seedlings planted by the children in this project will grow and a portion of the harvested rice will be donated to local childcare support facilities.
Yamaman aims to create a sustainable city where nature and urban functions are in harmony, and by utilizing the natural resources of rice paddies, the project is expected to help prevent natural disasters such as flooding, combat heat island effects, and preserve biodiversity.
Past Efforts in Childcare Support
Yamaman has promoted growth-managed development in Eucalyptus Hill for more than 50 years since 1971. Yamaman's pioneering efforts to address social issues related to child rearing, such as children on waiting lists and the first grade barrier, have earned it a reputation as a town where it is easy to raise children, and over the 20 years since 2005, the number of children living in the community has increased by approximately 140%.
In order to quickly identify issues and implement countermeasures, Yamaman created an area management group, which has been going door to door to listen to the problems of daily life and requests for urban development, and has been implementing countermeasures. For example, in 1999, we opened "Eucalyptus Hello Kids," a daycare center in front of the station, which was recognized as the first licensed daycare center in Chiba Prefecture; in 2007, we opened the Eucalyptus Hill General Child Raising Support Center with the theme of child-rearing and parenting as a place to prevent the isolation of households raising children amid the increase in nuclear families and to deepen interaction among local parents The center is also home to "U. Kids" and other intergenerational activities! Kids" and "Eucalyptus Yutopia," an integrated facility for children and the elderly where intergenerational interaction can take place on a daily basis. Currently, the Yamaman Group operates 16 childcare support facilities and cares for approximately 700 children on a daily basis.
In addition, as we see the declining birthrate and aging population as a pair of issues, we established the Social Welfare Corporation Eucalyptus Yutokai in 2004, which operates six facilities including a special nursing home for the elderly and a long-term care healthcare facility for the elderly, and in 2018 we launched a medical business, continuing to evolve our "welfare town" creation.

About the Future
As "Eucalyptus Hill is the place where children come first," Yamaman is planning to implement its second and third childcare support programs.
Yamaman will continue to nurture the future of the entire community by creating a town where children can grow up healthy and parents can raise their children with peace of mind.
