The Japan Kushikatsu Association (located in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; Chairman: Makoto Yoshino) has launched a project to produce an original song to commemorate "Kushikatsu Day" on September 4, inviting reggae artist Han-Kun (Shonan Nofu).

This project aims to bring smiles and energy to all of Japan through the seemingly unique combination of Japan's national food "Kushikatsu" and "reggae music" that will warm the hearts of all who listen to it. The original song produced by Mr. Han-Kun will maximize the appeal of kushikatsu and bring smiles to the faces of everyone who listens to it.
Students from HAL Osaka, HAL Tokyo, and HAL Nagoya will take on the challenge of remaking the song, and the music video will feature Kushinoro, the official character of the Japan Kushikatsu Association and the Kushikatsu Fairy, expressing the world of the song.
The goal is to create new music through industry-academia collaboration. The completed music will be presented at the ORA Food Service Pavilion "Banquet - UTAGE" in the private pavilion at Expo '2025 Osaka-Kansai.
In addition, a number of artists from the art world who are active in various fields will participate in the project.
They will cooperate in providing design materials for the music video.
In addition, a "Kushikatsu Anniversary Ageage Dance Choreography Contest" will be held on SNS!
Dance freely to the song "Kushikatsu Kinenichi" and post your choreography on SNS. The best works will be adopted for the music video of the original song.

A portion of the proceeds from this project will be donated to Gorilla, a non-profit organization (NPO) that provides assistance to disaster-stricken areas by offering soup kitchens and supplies in times of disaster, and has a partnership with the Japan Kushikatsu Association.
