Highlights of the New Pop World Exhibition (Tokyo)
This event features works by Masao Hatayama, who holds up the concept of "New Japanese Pop Art," expressing "NEW" new challenges and attempts in his works.
The works include the "Lame Blue Dragon," a work with a lame finish, "Laughing Wind God and Thunder God," a "Gold Leaf Series" created using Japanese gold leaf, and a new work, "Golden Bear Hands," which was created using Japanese gold leaf. The "Homage Series" includes "NO LAST SUPPER," which is based on the motif of the Last Supper, and a piece based on a Beatles jacket.
The "Reborn Paint Series," which features painted manekineko cats and daruma dolls, as well as an 80's boom box that has been completely reborn as a pop art piece, expresses a new world of pop art that is full of playfulness and transcends stereotypical barriers.
The main entrance will be decorated with various color versions of Hatayama's iconic character art "Panda no Nugget" as the main visual. From April 16 to 29, a total of 800 in-train advertisements will also be placed in Keio Electric Railway trains.

<Message from Masao Hatayama
Last year, in addition to the nationwide expansion, I held my first overseas solo exhibitions in Dubai, Paris, Milan, and London, and they were a great success. I express in my works all the experiences and stimuli I felt on the spot that I inputted during those exhibitions.
The world of pop art by a Japanese artist with a new sense of values. I would be happy if you could receive some messages from the works that are the output of what I felt.
