GORYO BUS will provide touch payment gateway services on Narita-Karuizawa route from July 2025

Goryo Bus Co. Ltd. (Head office: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Kenichi Soma; hereinafter "Goryo Bus") will begin offering a payment service on the Narita-Karuizawa route on July 1, 2025 (Tuesday), using the "stera transit" public transportation solution provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Card Co. (Head Office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President: Yukihiko Onishi; hereinafter "Sumitomo Mitsui Card"). The payment boarding service using touch-sensitive cards (credit, debit, and prepaid cards) and smart phones with card settings which utilize the "stera transit" solution for public transportation provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Card.
With this service, customers will be able to board the bus by touching their touch-sensitive cards or smart phones with their cards to a dedicated reader. This will allow foreign visitors to Japan and domestic customers to use their familiar credit cards to pay fares, making the bus service more convenient and smoother than ever before.

How to get on and off the bus
Passengers can board the bus by touching their credit/debit/prepaid card or smart phone with the dedicated reader. Touching the reader when getting off the bus is not necessary.
